Snapshots of Freedom

About the Photographer

Hello, my name is Scott Blaisdell. I’m starting a new company called Snapshots of Freedom By SHB Photography with the intention to support veteran groups and eagle conservation.

I have been blessed to have family and friends that served our great country in the US military. I am also lucky to be working in Red Wing and, therefore, to able to capture on film the beauty and majesty of the bald eagles that inhabit the area. I have taken thousands of photos in the last four years and have decided to start selling them to raise money for various nonprofit foundations.

My goal in life is to make a difference and help others. This has actually been a dream of mine for years, but I finally decided to go for it after I got my butt planted in the ICU with life threatening Covid. During my time in hospital, all I could think about was how was I going to take advantage if I got a second chance at life.

I’m working with the team at By All Mean Graphics in Northfield, Minnesota, to help me with the production of the photos and posters. The photo collection will feature eagle photo collages with patriotic themes as well as nature photos of eagles and other birds, landscapes from around the country and some vintage photos from the 1940s and ’50s. My son, Carson, will also be adding some of his photos from the North Shore of Lake Superior to the collection.

I will be adding many more photos to this page. Please enjoy the beauty of these majestic birds and the landscapes of our country. Every purchase from this site will benefit a non-profit that supports veterans or eagle conservation. Join me in giving back to those who’ve given us so much and supporting the important work that these partner nonprofits do.
